Jesse Love Charges to Top-10 Finish at Texas Motor Speedway

FORT WORTH, Texas (May 2, 2026) — Jesse Love delivered a determined comeback performance in the Andy’s Frozen Custard 340 at Texas Motor Speedway, driving the No. 2 Samsara Chevrolet to a ninth-place finish in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series.

After qualifying 21st, Love and the Richard Childress Racing team focused on making steady gains throughout the race. Love quickly moved forward in the opening stage, climbing to 12th by the end of Stage 1.

Stage 2 presented a tougher challenge as changing track conditions and dirty air made passing more difficult. Love slipped back to 18th at the end of the segment but remained within reach heading into the final stage.

When it mattered most, Love and the Samsara-backed team delivered. With continued adjustments and strong execution, Love methodically worked his way forward in the closing laps, securing a hard-fought ninth-place finish.

“We had a pretty rough weekend by our standards,” said Love. “We found some issues after practice and qualifying and thought we had it addressed going into the race, but we were still behind. We didn’t get a great read on our car in practice, and that showed up during the race.

“I think we got caught off guard a bit and weren’t as prepared as we needed to be. We tried a few things this weekend that just didn’t work.

“That said, I’m not discouraged. Progress isn’t always linear. This weekend might look like a setback, but in a lot of ways it was a success because we learned a lot—and we’ll be better because of it.”

The result keeps Love firmly in the championship hunt, currently sitting third in the standings as the 2026 season continues to intensify.
